Are you tired of traditional Internet search engines? Tired of the endless hours browsing for information from the maze that is called ‘The Web’?

We were and have been for a long time now. Frankly, we have better things to do with our time.

So we came up with what seemed like a novel solution. Instead of providing users with hyperlinks to documents that contained keywords, why not develop a technology that would go inside those links, find the content the user was looking for, extract it and place it in a dynamically generated PDF or XPS document. Not forgetting of course to provide a hyperlink back to the source data document so that the user could access it for more detailed context, if required.

And then we thought, let’s skip the keyword bit and instead focus on ‘contextualised search’. So users could now ask specific questions and we could deliver specific answers.

We knew we could satisfy the user. Taking the Browsing out of Browsing would give them their time back.

But what about content owners and advertisers? How could we help them?

We understood their pain points. Content owners needed better ways to monetize content and advertisers needed increased ROI on their online digital spend. So we linked up with WaikatoLink, the commercial arm of the University of Waikato at the back-end of 2007. Together, we created a complete internet solution that integrates the Pingar search solution, recognition of content owner’s rights and access to new online revenue streams and better ROI tools for advertisers.
